Half-Stock

    0.01 sec.
Half-stock
Stock, common or preferred, with a $50 par value.

Half-Stock
Informal; common stock or preferred stock with a face value of $50. Most stocks, when they have a face value at all, are issued with a face value of $100; thus, stock issued at $50 is called "half stock." It is important to note that stocks rarely have face value anymore.
