Graveyard Shift
The overnight shift at a 24-hour establishment. The graveyard shift may last from 12 a.m. to 8 a.m., 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., or a similar period of time. Because of the inconvenience (and occasionally danger) of working the graveyard shift, these employees are occasionally paid slightly more. Other companies rotate their employees in and out of the graveyard shift.
