Gower Report

    0.01 sec.
Gower Report
Proposed regulations of the British financial sector. The Gower Report came out of the perceived need for greater regulation in the light of various scandals in the 1960s and 1970s. The report recommended the creation of the Securities and Investment Board and several self-regulatory organizations to protect investors and consumers. The recommendations were adopted and eventually resulted in the formation of the Financial Services Authority.
