Global Macro Strategy A hedge fund strategy in which the money manager makes investment decisions based on the macroeconomic or political conditions in a country. For example, if a government is contemplating major health care legislation and one hedge fund manager believes this will help insurance companies, the manager will likely invest in those insurance companies.
