Gap Up

Gap Up

In technical analysis, a break on a chart representing a sudden and large price movement upward on high trading volume. That is, a security gaps up when its price rises a significant amount with little or no warning. It is represented on a chart by a break with no line representing the price. This is considered a bullish signal.
