Gantt chart

a chart used for PRODUCTION SCHEDULING purposes which lists orders on the left of the chart and time along the right of the chart as in Fig. 45, depicting the scheduling of orders on a day-by-day or week-by-week basis using bar lines to show the start and completion dates of each order. A similar chart can be used to show machine availability and utilization rates in producing orders.
