Group of Ten A group of the ten major industrialized countries whose mission is to create a more stable world economic trading environment through monetary and fiscal policies. The ten are Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Group of Ten An informal group composed of United States, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Canada, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Sweden (listed by nominal GDP). Switzerland also plays a small role in the Group. Members of the G-10 are some of the world's leading industrial democracies.
