A way to fold paper printed on one side so that only the printed side shows. In marketing, French folding is part of some direct mail campaigns.

Only use alternative folds if your brochure content dictates it, such as in the case with maps and French Fold or Accordion Fold brochures.
For example, there are French fold brochures out there that are best for printing brochures with maps in them.
However, the major change started with French President Nicolas Sarkozy who in May 2008 abandoned the policy of his predecessor, Jacques Chirac, and sought to court Syria and bring it back into the French fold.
