Free Reserves
Bank reserves over and above a bank's reserve requirements, less the amount it has borrowed from the Federal Reserve. That is, free reserves are extra cash a bank keeps in liquid assets (that is, what it does not loan out) beyond its legal requirement, minus what it must repay.
