Fourth Zimbabwean Dollar

Fourth Zimbabwean Dollar

The former currency of Zimbabwe. The fourth dollar was introduced in February 2009, when the government of Zimbabwe dropped 12 zeros from the third dollar in response to hyperinflation. However, inflation continued, and, in April, the government permitted Zimbabweans to use any currency for transactions (which most people were doing anyway). This effectively ended the Zimbabwean dollar.
