Fool's Gold

Fool's Gold
Iron pyrite, or a metal that superficially looks like gold. It is used to produce sulfur dioxide, which is important in making paper. Fool's gold was often mistaken for real gold during gold rushes and at other times, but is vastly less valuable.

Wirral-based theatre company Fools gold is performing its walk-about version of Alice's Adven-tures in Wonderland in the enigmatic tunnels at Edge Hill on July 21 with performances at 1pm, 4pm, and 7pm.
