Farm Credit System The oldest government-sponsored enterprise (GSE) (www.farmcreditffcb.com) in the country, created in 1916. It is a nationwide network of borrower-owned lending institutions and affiliated service entities that makes loans to agricultural and rural borrowers.The members do not take deposits.The funds for loans are obtained through the issuance of Farm Credit debt securities on a worldwide basis in the domestic and global capital markets.
