Export Push Strategy

In development economics, the approach in which a government makes a concerted effort to promote exports in order to encourage economic growth. A government may do this by keeping its currency weak, by subsidizing favored industries, or by adopting trade agreements with other countries. In an export push strategy, a country seeks to maintain a favorable balance of trade.
