European Currency Quotation
An indirect quotation in the foreign exchange markets, whereby the value of a foreign currency is stated as a per unit measure of the U.S. dollar.

Notes:
For example, a European foreign currency quote would be $CDN per $US. This is not the standard method of quoting foreign exchange rates in relation to the U.S. dollar.


European currency quotation
In foreign exchange trading, the value of a dollar in terms of a foreign currency. For example, if the euro is worth 90ยข, the European currency quotation would be expressed as 1.11, meaning that there are 1.11 euros to the dollar. Also called divider. Compare American currency quotation.
