Eurolira

    0.02 sec.
Eurolira
An Italian lira deposit in a bank outside the jurisdiction of Banca d'Italia; that is, outside Italy. Since the introduction of the euro, the eurolira has become obsolete.

The term has nothing to do with the euro, and the prefix "euro-" is used generally to refer to deposits outside the jurisdiction of the local central bank, such as in "euroruble."
