Endowment Funds

    0.01 sec.
Endowment funds
Investment funds established for the support of institutions such as colleges, private schools, museums, hospitals, and foundations. The investment income may be used for the operation of the institution and for capital expenditures.

Endowment Funds
Portfolios for some non-profits, especially universities, hospitals, and foundations. Endowment funds are usually set aside for capital expenditures, and are only used on an as-needed basis. Having a great deal of money in an endowment fund indicates that the organization is likely on sound financial footing.
