ECV

ISO 4217 code for the Ecuadorean Unidad de Valor Constante, which was an accounting currency introduced in 1993 to control inflation of the Ecuadorean sucre. Its initial value was set at 10,000 sucres to one UVC. This value was readjusted to account for inflation of the sucre. The UVC was abandoned in 2000 when Ecuador adopted the U.S. dollar.
