E-Filing
The act or practice of filing necessary paperwork online or otherwise electronically. E-filing has become increasingly common with the advent of the Internet. Individuals may e-file their tax returns, for example. Likewise, corporations often e-file their SEC statements through EDGAR.

If you decide to use a purchased tax software, when finished you can either print the forms and mail, or e-file directly from the program.
