dragon bond(redirected from Dragon Bonds)
A eurodollar bond issued in Asia but denominated in U.S. dollars. The dollar is thought to be a lower risk currency than most East Asian currencies (the yen perhaps being the major exception). Some Asian companies therefore issue dragon bonds to encourage investors to buy their debt. Dragon bonds are usually long-term bonds.
A long-term debt security issued in Asia and denominated in U.S. dollars.
