Dow Jones & Company, Inc.
A financial publishing company based in New York. It publishes a large number of products, both in print and online. It is particularly well known for publishing The Wall Street Journal and Barron's Magazine. Additionally, it publishes thousands of indices on securities; the three best known are the Dow Jones Industrial Average, the Dow Jones Utility Average, and the Down Jones Transportation Average. It was established in 1882 and is a subsidiary of News Corporation.

A major publisher of financial data and business news. Although best-known as the publisher of The Wall Street Journal and compiler of the Dow Jones Averages, Dow Jones also publishes a magazine, produces a radio show and a television show, and provides an electronic news service to the financial community.
