Demo

A public or semi-public display of a product. A company may put out a demo to a limited audience as part of its market research to see how well the product works, what needs to be changed, and so forth. Alternately, it may put on a demo during marketing to show potential buyers how good it already is. The term is short for demonstration and is sometimes also used as a verb.
