Fifth letter of a NASDAQ stock symbol specifying that it is a new issue, such as the result of a reverse split.

D
1. A symbol appearing next to a stock listed on NASDAQ indicating that the stock is a new issue, especially the result of a reverse stock split. All NASDAQ listings use a four-letter abbreviation; if a "D" follows the abbreviation, this indicates that the security being traded is a new issue.

2. A symbol appearing on a stock transaction table meaning that the share price is a new 52-week low. It is especially used in newspapers.

Used in the daily or weekly low column of stock transaction tables in newspapers to indicate that the price of a security reached a new 52-week low: d16.
