Crystallization

The act of selling an asset and immediately buying the same asset back. One does this for tax purposes; that is, one sells the asset in order to realize a capital loss, but buys it back because one believes it still represents a solid investment. Most tax agencies have rules forbidding or limiting crystallization.

The degree of under-cooling is the thermodynamic driving force required for the crystallization process and is described by: [DELTA]T = [T.
As it was mentioned above, the crystallization process in copolymers is predominantly governed by the length distribution of the crystallizable sequence.
The broad cold crystallization peak, associated with compositions above the threshold, revealed a considerable contribution of sporadic nucleation, demonstrating a fluctuation of nuclei population during the crystallization process, in contrast to the nearly constant number of nuclei expected in heterogeneous nucleation [23, 49], Moreover, some degree of crystallization is detected during the reheating of PLAA3.

Owing to the fact that the resulting physical properties are strongly dependent on the crystallization process and the final morphology of the PLA samples, many researches have been carried out to study in detail the structural evolution in the crystallization process [6-9].
