Total Cost of Ownership
The all-in cost for purchasing and maintaining an asset. For example, the total cost of ownership of a house is not simply the purchase price, but also includes the cost of taxes, utility bills, perhaps the cost of replacing or repairing parts of the structure, and any other relevant costs incurred during the time one owns the house.
