Company doctor
An executive, usually appointed from outside, brought in to turn a company around and make it profitable.

Company Doctor
An executive who is well-regarded for managing a distressed business back to financial health. A company may hire a company doctor from outside as a CEO or as some other officer if it is in danger of bankruptcy.
