The two-character ISO 3166 country code for CHINA.

1. ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code for the People's Republic of China. This is the code used in international transactions to and from Chinese bank accounts.

2. ISO 3166-2 geocode for China. This is used as an international standard for shipping to China. Most Chinese subdivisions have their own codes with the prefix "CN." For example, the code for the City of Beijing is ISO 3166-2:CN-11. See also: TW.
