China Concepts Stock
A stock in a company operating in the People's Republic of China that trades on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, or sometimes on another stock exchange. Generally speaking, only Chinese citizens are allowed to invest in Chinese stock exchanges. Therefore, China concepts stocks are separately incorporated in another country in order to allow foreign investment in Chinese companies. Their existence is part of the slow liberalization process in China.
