The company executive responsible for the security of personnel, physical assets and information in both physical and digital form. The importance of this position has increased in the age of information technology as it has become easier to steal sensitive company information.

Notes:

This executive position is most often found in technology companies and will sometimes be referred to as "Chief Information Security Officer" (CISO) or "Director of Corporate Security". The creation of this title has led to the consolidation of all forms of corporate security under one department.
