The researchers originally set out to determine whether treatment with the oral chelating agent succimer would improve lead-exposed children's scores on behavioral and cognitive tests. Additionally, many practitioners and parents point to Europe's long track record with chelating agents to further reassure parents of chelation's safety when used correctly. |
