Chart Service

A company that sells charts of security prices. A chart service compiles information and composes a chart, usually on a monthly basis, in order to send to a client. It saves the client the time of creating a chart himself/herself and, as such, may expedite investment decisions, especially those made with technical analysis. However, chart service charts are often delayed by a few days, meaning that the chart does not display a security's most recently available information.
