Byline: AFP TOKYO: Japan Airlines announced Friday that it aimed to merge its freight business with that of rival Nippon Cargo Airlines in response to a sharp drop in demand during the economic downturn.
Such Freight carriers may also be dedicated transportation logistics companies like Fed-Ex who have a cargo airline and a business and logistics system to support end to end delivery as well.
Emirates' cargo division won the premier prize at the prestigious Cargo Airline of the Year Awards, a leading event on the cargo industry calendar, hosted by Air Cargo News (ACN) in London.
