CMO REIT
A very risky type of Real Estate Investment Trust investing in the residual cash flows of Collateralized Mortgage Obligation (CMOs). CMO cash flows are derived from the difference between the rates paid by the mortgage loan holders and the lower, shorter-term rates paid to CMO investors.

CMO REIT
A real estate investment trust that invests in collateralized mortgage obligations. The CMO REIT derives its return from the difference in the interest and principal paid on the mortgages underlying the CMOs and the coupons paid to the CMO holders. A CMO REIT is considered a very risky investment vehicle.
