The Clearing Corporation
Also called CCorp. The oldest company in the United States to provide clearing and settlement services for futures and derivatives. It operated both on exchanges and over-the-counter. It was established in 1925 as the Board of Trade Clearing Corporation. The Intercontinental Exchange purchased it in 2009. It should not be confused with a clearing corporation, which is a generic term.
