Business Model
A plan a company or other business uses in order to make a profit from its operations. Some business models are complex, while others are simple. For example, a hedge fund's business model may involve encouraging high net worth individuals to make a large investment that will be used in a series of complicated (and sometimes obscure) transactions. On the other hand, a freelance editor's business model is simply to write and edit for clients in order to receive payment.
