Business Process Management

The process by which a company seeks to align all its departments and activities toward the same goal. In general, this goal is to deliver the best product to customers or clients. Business process management aims for high efficiency, particularly by openness to new ideas in both information technology and human resources. BPM activities are divided into design, modeling, execution, monitoring and optimization. See also: Six Sigma.
