Bulk Segregation

    0.01 sec.
Bulk Segregation
The practice in which a brokerage places a client's securities in street name and keeps them separate from the securities the brokerage itself owns. Securities in street name are owned by a client, but the brokerage holds title to reduce the client's risk and to facilitate trade at the client's request. Bulk segregation occurs to keep these two very different types of securities separate from each other.
