Breadth Indicator
Any indicator that measures the relative strength of a price movement either upward or downward. One may think of a breadth indicator as a measure of the likelihood of the persistence of an upswing or a downturn in a security's price. Technical analysts use various breadth indicators to make their recommendations or investments.
