Brand Development Index The percentage of persons in a certain area in the U.S. who buy a product compared to the percentage of total Americans who buy the same product. For example, if 10% of people in Oklahoma buy a certain product and 30% of Americans as a whole buy it, the BDI is 33.3 (BDI = 10% / 30%). This may be used to measure relative market penetration in certain areas. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
