ISO 4217 code for the second Bolivian boliviano. It was introduced in 1987, replacing the peso boliviano at a ratio of 1 million pesos to one boliviano. It is a floating currency.

Apples were considered sacred at this time, and this was eventually where the tradition of bobbing for apples came from.
