Board Broker System

A system for making markets on commodity exchanges where a particular member or nominee for membership is assigned a commodity and charged with maintaining liquidity for that commodity. That is, the member matches and executes orders for its assigned commodities, maintains records, and prepares to buy or sell on its own account to prevent the market from becoming illiquid. Each commodity is given one board broker, though one board broker may be assigned several commodities. This system helps keep trading regular and orderly, and is similar to the market maker system on stock exchanges.
