Bid-asked spread Bid-Asked Spread On an exchange, the difference between the highest price a buyer of a security or other asset is willing to pay (the bid) and the lowest price at which a seller is willing to sell (the ask). Generally speaking, the more liquid an asset is, the less of a difference there is between the bid and the ask.
