Alexander Graham Bell
An inventor credited with the first marketable telephone. The telephone was an instant success and, along with the older invention of the telegraph, was responsible for the development of easier and more frequent communication worldwide. Bell was born in Scotland in 1847 and died in Canada in 1922.
