A slang term for an unsophisticated investor who has lost everything on the stock market. Not to be confused with Barefoot Investor.

Barefoot Pilgrim
Informal; a small investor who takes excessive risk, makes dumb investments, and displays general financial ignorance. It especially applies when such an investor has lost most or all of his/her wealth. See also: Naive diversification.
