Balop

An image placed in front of a balopticon. A balopticon was a very early projector that looked much like a lantern. One placed the balop in front of the balopticon, which would project the image contained in the balop onto a wall or screen. The balopticon was important in the development of cinema and television, which are both important in advertising.
