Bahraini Dinar
The currency of Bahrain. It was introduced upon Bahrain's independence from the United Kingdom; it replaced the Gulf rupee. In 1980, the dinar was pegged to Special Drawing Rights, though in practice it was pegged to the U.S. dollar. The peg was officially changed to the dollar in 2001.
