Host Bond

Host Bond
A bond with a warrant or other sweetener attached. For example, a convertible bond is a host bond because it includes the option to change the bond to stock. A host bond is also called a package or a back bond.

uk Wells Fargo (NYSE: WFC) has announced that it is planning to buy back bonds in order to settle a fraud lawsuit by California.
TOKYO, April 7 Kyodo The yield on the benchmark 10-year Japanese government bond closed lower Tuesday as investors bought back bonds in view of Tokyo stocks ending mixed after a four-day rally.
The bank is said to have bought back bonds in order to bolster its balance sheet.
