Attorney's Fee
A fee a lawyer charges for legal services. Lawyers may work by the hour, for a flat fee, or may even be paid a percentage of the amount one wins in a lawsuit.

Mr Riley had sought the award of costs of between pounds 40,000 and pounds 60,000, but Mr James said: "I am not envisaging an award of costs of anything approaching the pounds 40,000 to pounds 60,000, which appears to me to be a staggeringly high figure for these applications given the limited evidence filed so far in these proceedings.
Council officers can refer a matter to the full council if a previous decision is likely to result in a successful award of costs against the council at appeal.
