Average Net Paid Circulation

Average Net Paid Circulation

The number of periodicals sold over a period of time divided by the number of issues published. For example, if a newsletter is published twice a month and it sells 4,000 letters in January, the average net paid circulation is 2,000. The Audit Bureau of Circulations uses the average net paid circulation to determine readership.
