Author's Alteration In publishing, a change made by an author after the book or article has gone to print for the first time. That is, an author's alteration occurs because the writer wishes to make a change and not because of some error in printing. Printers often charge for author's alterations. It is also called an author's correction. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
