Mutual Atomic Energy Reinsurance Pool
A group of mutual insurance companies that provide coverage to insurance companies against the possibility that they will lose money due to nuclear liability. That is, the insurance companies provide coverage for nuclear liability and the mutual atomic energy reinsurance pool covers those insurance companies. The federal government supplements the mutual atomic energy reinsurance pool. It is also simply called atomic energy reinsurance.
